If ‘portfolio careers’ are the latest thing, then Tim Fearon may be one of the pioneers in the field.  He is an outstanding example of the ‘if you can dream it, you can do it’ school.  He is hugely practical, pragmatic, challenging and entertaining. He went straight from school to work backstage in the theatre.  From there he went on to manage a major new arts initiative. The project up and running, he moved on to work with young unemployed people he had become involved, during the arts centre project, many of whom had significant learning difficulties.  He set up a company specifically geared to training them for the future.  In the face of tremendous odds, the company, now a registered charity, achieved a success rate of getting 70% of the young people into full time employment.  This work came to the attention of The Industrial Society, they asked Tim to talk to other organisations about the work he was doing. Tim moved to The Industrial Society where he stayed for six years.  He ended up as Head of the Voluntary Organisations Unit and Head of Youth Development.  He moved from here to join Mercuri International, the world’s largest sales, marketing and customer service consultancy. Tim left Mercuri to set up on his own as a coach and facilitator. So when Tim speaks about leadership, about personal development, about service, it is from the heart because all of these are at the heart of who he is and what he does.

Simon Weston as a speaker is motivational and inspirational. His message is one of determination, to accept not only what is, but to turn that to your advantage. His own life and career clearly demonstrate how a truly positive mental attitude can achieve great goals - both in business and in private. In 1978 Simon joined the Welsh Guards and before joining the Falklands Task Force, he saw active service in Berlin, Northern Ireland and Kenya. Aged 20 he was aboard the Sir Galahad when it was attacked and bombed by the Argentine Air Force. The burns he suffered on that day required a series of operations. Despite horrific injuries and the physical and mental suffering they have caused, Simon's life is an outstanding example of great personal triumph and courage.

Having lived a life just a little more adventurous than the norm, Anthony Willoughby has used his experiences meeting and talking to a variety of tribal people to develop a management and communications technique called ‘Territory Mapping’.  “Corporations still employ hunters and gatherers, but neither the people who hire them or the employees themselves are aware that they are fulfilling ancient tribal roles.  Seeing one’s corporation as a tribe and understanding one’s archetypal role within it represents a powerful new paradigm that can transform a corporation, strengthen its ability to survive and grow, and enrich and enliven the careers of its people.”
