Guilt Free Treats from Sahar Hashemi's new brand
Sahar Hashemi, co-founder of Coffee Republic, and great speaker on being entrepreneurial has recently sold 50% of her new venture 'Skinny Candy' to the big confectionery company Glisten plc.

Sahar started her new brand 'Skinny Candy' a range of low sugar and sugarfree sweets and chocolate from her kitchen table two years ago and has sold half of it for £75,000 to Glisten. Customers already include Selfridges, Harvey Nicholls, Top Shop, Waitrose and Coffee Repiblic stores.

Sahar will be staying on board with the brand to help Glisten to continue to grow it. As a consequence, she is now in a position to talk about intrapreneurship i.e. being an entrepreneur as part of a large organisation, adding another string to her speaking bow!

Glisten Chief Executive, Paul Simmonds, believes consumers still want great tasting chocolate and sweet treats but a rising number of people now insist on some additional functional benefits and ideally some element of guilt-free self indulgence. He feels Skinny Candy is an excitign brand with a fantastic young image and real consumer relevance, which will allow Glistne to capitalise on the well-being trend.

Well done Sahar - guilt free treats all round!
